Lurssen has remained a family-run German shipyard since its inception in 1875 and is now in its fourth generation of private ownership. The company was founded by Friedrich Lurssen with a desire to create a leading shipyard in both quality and performance.
With headquarters in Bremen-Vegesack and five building yards in north Germany, Lurssen Yachts is responsible for building some of the world’s finest luxury yachts between 33 and 200 meters, and can claim to have produced the world’s first motor yacht in 1886.
