Villa René Lalique has been awarded five star hotel status from the celebrated hotel ranking system, Atout France, only two years after its opening.
This classification allows the hotel to join the exclusive group of the finest luxury establishments in the world. Silvio Denz, Chairman & CEO of LALIQUE, and owner of the Villa says, “We are extremely proud of this ranking that places Villa René Lalique in the highest category of excellence and recognizes the savoir-faire, know-how and passion of our teams.”
Since opening in September 2015, Villa René Lalique - a member of the prestigious Relais & Châteaux collection, which includes 530 exceptional properties globally - has received numerous awards, establishing it as a rare jewel and coveted travel destination. Condé Nast Traveler named the Villa as one of the best hotels in the world in its ‘Hot List 2016’ and Robb Report Magazine awarded it their ‘Best of the Best’ Resort ranking. This five star status reinforces the accolades and honors that have been attributed to Villa René Lalique and embodies the dedication and pride of the entire staff to make the property such an exceptional experience.
In this luxurious and refined setting, the hotel offers guests the opportunity to discover six exclusive suites, imagined and decorated by international interior designers Lady Tina Green and Pietro Mingarelli, who also conceived the Art Deco inspired furniture and home accessories collection, LALIQUE Maison. All different, each suite bears the name of an emblematic René Lalique creation that harks back to a decade in the life of the master glassmaker. The exception is the Zelia suite, named after Marie- Claude Lalique’s famous panther.
The restaurant, designed by renown Swiss architect, Mario Botta is a rectangle of glass, borne on columns of red Vosges sandstone, forming an extension that is linked to the Villa by an all-glass walkway. Its four glazed sides and plant-covered roof merge perfectly with the six acres of glorious, surrounding parkland. Awarded two Michelin stars, Chef Jean-Georges Klein oversees the kitchens and offers a pure, creative and colorful tasting experience. The wine cellar, also the work of Mario Botta is a stunning experience in and of itself, housing one of the finest European wine collections with over 60,000 bottles of wine, closely monitored by Head Sommelier Romain Iltis, awarded the title of ‘Meilleur Sommelier de France’ and ‘Meilleur Ouvrier de France’.
Villa René Lalique offers guests a unique and luxurious setting to recharge in great serenity. It pays homage to the exceptional work of the artisans working in the LALIQUE factory and to the century-old heritage bequeathed to them by visionary artist, René Lalique.
